The Kennedy Public House is locally owned and operated by Michael Derbyshire who opened in November 2011. The restaurant offers a casual but beautiful dining experience at moderate prices. Chef Tristan D'Souza's comforting yet cosmopolitan cuisine has already won him a devoted following in the neighbourhood with specialties such as in house smoked Pork Belly & Bean Cassoulet, Guiness Braised Lamb Shank and slow roasted smoked Rack of Ribs. The unique menu offers a modern take on traditional pub foods that is sure to please.
The dining room, much like the menu, is a fusion of modern and traditional. The restaurant boasts ancient wood tables, grandiose chandeliers, a granite bar and an extensive gallery of Toronto archive photos of the neighbourhood. Experience our extensive wine and cocktail list under the bar’s tin ceiling at our archaic Douglas Fir harvest tables, built with reclaimed wood stripped from an old building in downtown Vancouver. Enjoy the sunshine and relax with one of our beers on tap on the biggest, brightest patio in the neighbourhood.
The Kennedy Public House is located at the corner of Bloor Street and Kennedy Ave in the heart of Bloor West Village. It is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The Kennedy also has a kid’s menu and is wheelchair accessible.
