French food is one of those cuisines that diners crave, but are rarely satisfied with. Fare Bistro's proud owner and Chef, Brad Clark (formerly of "the other" French restaurant, Le Select Bistro), however, will have you leaving pleasantly surprised.
Melding new techniques with classic dishes, Clark prepares food that is rich and full of flavour without being too overwhelming or integrating too many layers of spice and ingredients.
The restaurant is a good size, intimate but not small, and offers bar seating as well as tables and a banquet along one side. Walls of café au lait surround you and the large window at the front allows you to dine and watch the world go by. Abstract paintings the colour of salt water taffy by local artist Max MacDonald lift the space.
